FS: 993RS airbox intake trumpet

Thanks for clarifying. I also had never heard of it being an RS part. I believe it was originally only for the turbo and cars (like mine) with the fixed turbo-style wing, and it was a simple snap-on part. Hopefully someone will have a use for it.
This site describes some the reasons it may be helpful on fixed-wing cars: http://p-car.com/diy/intake/

Indeed
...it's the air intake from the 993 Turbo. Pete Wetzel (RIP) at ANDIAL had me install this in about 2002...been there ever since. That was the time I installed the 993 RS fixed tail. It just makes sense to have fresh (cooler) air come directly through the rear vent.

i have standard and trumpet - don't notice any difference. i usually use the trumpet in hot weather.
some one did a comparison using instrumentation some time ago - again, if there is any difference it's not obvious in normal use.
it's an inexpensive deal, so go ahead, play!

Rick, got your PM and sent a reply. As soon as I get your shipping address, it'll be on its way to you. Thanks.
Thanks also to those who educated me about the part. My memories of my 993 are as fond as ever, but after 10 years some of the smaller details have faded a bit! :-)
