Question A year to remember 1971 Gulf 917

Anyone know how to get this 37 Minute DvD?

Amazon doesn't show anything but Movie Data Base imdb lists it.

Google shows it as a 2 part video but this old dude is on dial-up and wouldn't know how to download even if it was possible.

Too bad you're on dial-up, I've got a dvd rip copy in MP4 format that I would be happy to transfer to you. There are copies on eBay.

Thanks Ron, I have the Steve McQeen Le Mans.

" A year to remember, Gulf" is something else from 1970-71, about 37 minutes.

Google it and you'll see.

D'accord, Laissez les bons temps rouler

I know where there is a good case also.

the crankshaft is the tricky part, although Porsche said they would make a flat 12 5.0l crank for $17,000.00.

Question

Thanks, I know the links.

What I am saying is: I am on dial-up and cannot download these Videos.

No High-speed here, Cell phones don't work, very remote rural.

How can I get a DvD of this feature?

I would take it off your hands. What do you have to have for it?

I was going to make an offer but then I looked what just regular old 911 crankcases were going for in eBay...

You could probably have it cheap. They are not good for anything unless you have the rest of major componets to go with it.

Ask me how I know. I think we got a case virtually free in the 90s with great aspirations of building a 917. A $17,000.00 crankshaft kind of put a damper on things. Apparently there is no shortage of cases. there wasn't even a shortage of camshafts.... at least 20 years ago. It is the crank. It needs to be made. At least Porsche said they would make one, but you kind of have to be 'someone' with a good compelling reason for needing a flat 12 crank.
