My car just started a new problem.


On occasion and becoming more frequent... When I turn the key, nothing. The starter doesn't turn over...no clicking sound ...nothing. After a few tries it starts, and turns over just fine. Strong battery,.

I have switched key fobs and the current works about 15 ft away ...same issue today.

Car has 33k and has never had any funny stater noises and the ignition switch is tight.

The best approach to this would be to listen for the fuel pump. This will cut the complexity of the diagnosis in half.

Hi,

You may have an Immobilizer issue however before you attack that, I'd confirm that the battery is fully charged (12.66 VDC) and BOTH ends of the positive & negative cables are VERY clean, oxidation free and have solid connections at their respective ends.
