I had intermittent reverse lights on the car for the last year. Since I was doing a fluid change I thought I would replace the switch. New switch in and everything seemed to work fine for about a day, now, as long as the ignition is on, my reverse lights are on.
So, I checked to make sure the contacts were still in the switch and not shorting out. That was fine.
I pulled the switch and the little rod that engages the switch and made sure it worked with an ohm meter. Seemed to work fine, you have to push the little plunger in quite a bit to complete the circuit.
Put it all back together, it worked fine for 10 minutes, now the reverse lights are on full time again.
Any thoughts?

I searched and couldn't find an answer to this question - the parts guy at the dealership asked me when I called to get replacement bulbs for my reverse lights (one is burnt out).
Are they single filament or dual filament?
(Shouldn't the Porsche parts guy know...?)
Anyone know so that I can buy replacement bulbs in advance of taking the light assembly apart.
Thanks,
