One of the most beautiful porsches ever made!! All time dream car...

And holy crap, how much is that worth... Roehrl sure is throwing it around handily.

I had the pleasure of riding in one many years back. A friend of mine in Wichita owned it. Sweet sounds! (Did you notice? The key's on the right!)

Isn't that one a kit car? That padded dash looks a bit too modern.

I'd bet a chunk of change you wouldn't find Walter Roehl in a kit car.

Also, the video is on the official Porsche channel on youtube. See 2:55 in the video....side of the car has "Porsche Museum" on it. I remember reading in a recent Excellence magizine about only a few 904s (or it might actually have been 906s) that were delivered with nice leather dashboards. I'm sure its had a leather replacement most likely, which helps the "new-ness" of the look.

Besides, I've been asked many times about my "new" Porsche. Nope, 1996 isn't "new".....just timeless!

He is driving the heck out of that car....I like the interior shot showing counter steering directly at the tire wall coming out of a turn (about 1/2 or 2/3 thru the vid).

I have loved the 904 since the days Ben Pons used to race an orange one at Nurburgring. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks. I thought it might have been something like that. I've probably been pronouncing his name wrong.

Tire technology has come a long way, hasn't it? But who here had (or has track experience with) a 914-6 of similar power/weight ratio? Pretty much the same driving experience. Even the one time I ran the 910 in the wet I overcame what the Avon rain slicks, and it probably looked the same--massive slow speed understeer, then catch the tail. Hey, just like a 911!
