Strange car running issue today
The car has been running great until today when a weird thing happened.
I got into in about 30 minutes after the last short drive and when I restarted it immediately ran rough. Never experienced that before.
As a data point the car is a tip. I started driving and when I gave it any throttle the engine bogged down and wanted to quit when I backed off it kept a rough idle. After a couple of hundred feet I decided to press the issue and gave it more throttle. It died and wouldn't restart. I waited about a minute tried again and got it going. This time I took off as before but VERY slowly gave it just a little bit of throttle at a time as it crawled away and over about a minute and a mile or so, it started running better. During that minute as I realized I had more power and it wasn't going to die I pushed more throttle and eventually pushed through the roughness I got a CEL but the roughness did clear up. I drove home about 20 minutes without any further drama and restarted the car an hour later and it ran normal but the CEL was still illuminated.
Any ideas????
