How to clean serious funk from wheels???

Wenol red (or blue). A buffing wheel on your drill will really get the job done in short order. This is assuming, of course, that you have raw, polished barrels. If they're anodized race satin...

these are the wheels, I'm not sure if they are anodized race satin...thanks

I seem to have some oxidized crud on teh polished lips of my SSR wheels. The center is powder coated black. So I'm tying to figure what to do. A bit afraid to go at it with a polishing wheel and compound for fear of killing nearby powder coated areas. I could, of course, take them apart, but that's quite a project.

I have been contemplating taking mine apart. The crud in the corners has been there long before my ownership of the 951. I'm going to contact the local wheel refinishing company since the coating on the front two wheels is toast.
