AOW,

The tell tell signs are obvious, either water is leaking in, or you are getting a whistling sound during highway speeds.....

The original one is scuffed. Hence the need to replace.

I have the same problem on my 96 993. Its torn on both the driver and passenger side. Both my local P-dealer and an independent body shop wanted some $700+ for the fix. I declined. So, DIY instructions would be much appreciated.

Pull the old one off, use some glue remover/thinners on a rag and get all the old crap out (this will take some time)

Put contact glue on inner seal edge and leave for 10 minutes, brush glue into recess on car and push seal in straight away while wet, close door for 3 hours

With the special internet pricing, the seal is currently $175.24 (plus shipping to get to you).
