First, thanks to all who have responded to my various requests for help. I have been searching for threads on the following without much success. I have three paint touch up needs and I need help on color and where to buy touch up vials.
1) I have some small nicks in the Matt black door frame at the top of the drivers window. Is this a special color, or just a simple matt black? Or perhaps it's a semi-gloss?
2) any help on best color to use on turbo silver rims? I see some prior references to a Toyota color, but can not seem to find it
3) finally, my color code is L92U. What's the best on-line place to buy touch up vials.
I've used Dr. Colorchip as well. Great for light surface nicks and scratches.... and it's ok for chips that are deeper. It only covers up of course... you can still make out the physical aberrations on the paint.
What about the touch up for the Porsche rims though? I have a nick I would like to touch up on my 17" factory rims. Some of the silver or aluminum colors are light years from matching correctly.
I repainted my turbo twist rims after spending lots of time and money trying to find matching rattle can paint. If you search for wheel paint in the archives you will find that many recommend the Wurth wheel paint. I can't find that in my area so I had a wheel color matched at a body shop supply store. I have a post on the details https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...ferrerid=18268
