Smile I saw that rear view pic...

and though I was having a LSD flash back. It is soooooo distorted.

I was wondering what you were saying with the post. I have Fabspeed 200 cell cats and X pipe coming today, to be connected to my FD Motorsports Stage 1 mufflers, also brand new.

The cats are on in the video. I have the bypass pipes in the garage.

I apologise for that last post. I was going to add the reasons why, but got dragged away. Sorry. I hate people who write like that!

Here are mine if you are interested. No 'better' than yours, but a different type of sound with a bit more crackle and pop.

Standard mufflers, standard airbox, 2" muffler bypass pipe. Around $120 all in, although you may need new heatshields/bolts.

I'll try and dig out a sound clip for mine which is a bit of both of these.

kdh - any MOT issues?

Cheers,

David

Call me crazy, I like them both. I agree on the heatshield/bolts.

I can't really capture my exhaust sound sitting still. On the road and during deceleration it's deep and throaty. I only went above 3K in that clip once, I should have done it more but the neighbors were out and it's loud enough at idle.

I think that they both sound great but I lean toward the Fabspeed sound a little more. Deeper tone with not all the crackle and pop. It is hard to tell from a cumputer, I know. I would love to hear that with the straight pipes installed instead of the 200cell cats-just for grins. Have been thinking about that set up for a while now.

Default If you want to hear FD Stage 1 and ......

Fabspeed 200 cell cats, come out to Infineon (Sears Point) March 5/6. I'll be out there running around with Speed Ventures. Better yet, enter the event! It is DE with optional racing on Sunday, perhaps Saturday too.

BTW, got the Fabspeed 200 cell with X pipe and the option to run "catless" yesterday. Damn, they are beautiful...putting them on today!!! I can hardly wait! As csoon as I can gigure out how to convert AVI filers to wav on my Mac, I'll post some sound.

BTW(2): I noticed that Oz-ATL was not revving the motor. That was pretty clear. It made sense to me. What person in their right mind revs a cold engine? And the neighbor thing....they probably hate you for having the car, and hate more for the great sound. Oz-ATL and those of us that have 993 cars, are "living the dream."
