Wow, that's a nice deal for someone as that car doesn't seem too far removed from 'new'.

Caveat Emptor:

An interesting fact about this car is it has been for sale off and on for over a year. It used to be priced at over $52,000 then. When I commented to Air Eater at that time that he'd need luck to sell it at that price, he implied that I was an *******. I guess at least I was an ******* who was accurate about the inflated price.

If I recall correctly, he also had the same story that he was selling it for his friend, who in the year 2011 still hasn't figured out to upload a photo onto his computer. Hmm. If he can't figure that out, it makes me wonder if he knew how to maintain a Porsche.

I can't comment on his "friend" but Air Eater is one of the less agreeable people on Rennlist. I always think if someone can't treat you with respect, I imagine what they sell isn't treated with much respect, either.

I also don't understand why Vance couldn't post his own FS ad. If the OP can post the pics then maybe he can walk the guy through the procedure. If his username is 'CROME' I'd completely understand....

That gave me a chuckle.

I think with a little patience he could indeed get $43K for this car. Reminds me of the sort of car (and price) you see at TruSpeed.

Now I feel very good about the 993 that I just bought. '95 C2 Cabriolet Tip, 31k miles, one owner, all records, new cab top, new tires, new battery and mint condition for $35k and never been out of So. CA.

That hardtop made for the 993 in France would be "the ticket" for this car in the PNW!

Hmmm, now that makes me wonder if I could get near that $$ for my car with 1.5K fewer miles and a whole stack of "desirable" mods...

A '95 Tip is a different beast than a '98 6-speed, so I think yours was priced right as well.

Ironically, I don't think so. It seems that collectors (not drivers) and people with the low miles fetish also have the virgin fetish, i.e. they prefer no mods.
