The 993 and a DC-3
I'll try this again. My original pictures were too big.
I was out at a small airport today and saw an old DC-3 sitting by itself. I thought the the 993 would look good in front of it, of course the car looks good in front of anything.

The DC-3 had been sitting there for a long time and is in rough shape but with a little TLC could fly again. It's at Northwest Regional Airport near Roanoke.

Got to fly in a DC-3 a few times years ago when my dad worked for Northeast AL. Low & slow. The stews handed out chewing gum to clear your ears. I still remember walking up hill and downhill in the aisle. Nearly indestructable air frame.

We chartered one once, to Whitefish, Montana for a spring skiing trip. It was Charles de Gaulle's former aircraft. That was a memorable weekend.
The pilots told me that as long as the wing spars don't crack, they can be kept in service indefinitely.
Economy cruise is 143 knots; max speed is 187 knots.

Pictures like this are so cool - beautiful car, historic plane, and a clear day. With airport security getting more restrictive, shots like this are more challenging to take. Glad you had the opportunity to put all 3 together.
