Hello,
I'm thinking about picking up a set of 19" OEM wheels from 997 and would like to know if this will fit and what size tires is recommended without rolling fenders?
Bolt Pattern: 5 x 130
Front: 8" x 19" Offset +57mm
Rears: 11" x 19" Offset +67mm
Thanks in Advance,
BostonBeast

You will need a 5mm spacer in the front otherwise they'll look too tucked in. And a minimum of 15mm spacer in the rear. The rears are not plug n play for a WB car.
Also, 19" wheels look too big on our cars (with one possible exception being the RUF Speedline wheels), but that's more of a personal preference I suppose. 997 cars are the first to have a larger diameter wheel and tire. On a 993, you might as well wrap the 19" wheels in rubber bands, there will be practically no sidewall

What offsets are the GT3 wheels I have? I know the rears are 12", and I just use a 21mm bolt-on spacer (which is also handy to make the skinny 9's that the snow tires are mounted on work). Fronts are fine, but again probably a slightly different offset.
Anyway, there are a few pics of my setup floating around on other threads.
Overall I wouldn't bother with 19s, unless they're coming to you cheap/free with decent tires. They're heavy mothers, and as Ilko says it looks kinda funny.

19" are perfect for a 993 with modern tire technology of today.
People seem to forget that the tire industry is developing constantly and a 19" 35/30 tire from today is as (or even more) comfortable and compliant as 18" tires from the 90's.
Case in point. My car came with 18" Pirelli 225/40 and 285/30, the original mount, and I recently switched to 19" Kumho. There is NO difference in comfort, at least not noticeable. But there is definitely an improved steering feel, car seems to turn in quicker, smoother, hard to describe but it works really well.
Now, I do believe you need to respect the original tire diameter and if you don't than that will (might) give a different outcome.
So I would advice to go with :
225/35ZR19 front
265/30ZR19 back
I know the rear tires are narrower but if you go with 285/30ZR19 the tire becomes too high. And I don't believe a 285/25ZR19 exists. But the 265 in 19" is fine on the wide body. It is still 1cm more compared to the stock 255 in 17".
If you can try to locate Boxster 19" wheels. They fit without spacers. I have Carrera Sport 8.5 and 10X19 on my car and no spacers at all.
Hope this helps.

A 265 on an 11 is quite a bit off the measuring spec. 10 looks fine though.
What I can say with the the OE GT3 stuff (8 + 12, 225 + 305) is that you're just going for the "cool" factor. I think I posted the difference in weights way back when, and the rears are a good 5 lbs heavier. In any case, I notice the difference. And I'm not picky AT ALL when it comes to cars that just roll up and down the freeway.
I made the mistake of rolling onto the track with the setup last fall just to give a demo ride. Even 10+ seconds/lap off pace I was annoyed enough to pull in after two laps and put the student in the yellow car.

agreed 265 on 11 is a big no no, but quite frankly a 11 on a normal (wb) 993 is useless and it forces you to mount the wrong tire. I wanted 19" but only if 100% correct from a technical standpoint.

You will need a 5mm spacer on the front and 1" adapter on the rear. If your car is a C4 or Turbo then pay very close attention to tire diameter. I have had a few customers use a 235/35 19 front and 315/25 19 rear. It is VERY tight and you may need to roll the fender slightly, trim the bumper plastic and check the clearance to the oil cooler line. On the C2S many have used the stock 997 tire sizes, 235/35 19, 295/30 19.
