Uh oh.
Hopefully those are parts of the 'starter switch' which mounts to the end of the ignition switch and can be replaced.
If the ignition switch is shot, I believe the replacement must be ordered from the factory through your dealer. The good news is it doesn't take long, a week or so. The bad news is the entire unit must be replaced, which includes the steering wheel lock, requiring considerable effort.
I was told by a mechanic that ignition switch failures are common on the 993. He said there is an Audi part that is a direct replacement and less expensive.

Hi,
Do you have the part number of this Audi part?
If I can get hold of a used Steering ignition lock with key (993 and 964 is different as I just open the ignition lock of 964), I can then figure out how these pieces were arranged together. My 993 steering ignition lock works fine. I am replacing the Ignition starter switch.
Thanks for the help.
