A little busy, but not so bad it would deter me from wearing it! In fact it makes more sense than a face in speedo or tach #'s, but all still cool in their own way.

I'm in if we can get the watch that looks like the VDO clock. Very cool.

I don't care for the speedo-look because you could never tell the time more accurately than around +/- 2 minutes.

I will show my ignorance here (and I actually collect watches) and say that I have never heard of Motochron. Never ever in my 5-6 years of serious searching/collecting.

I will also say that "I would rather have a Rolex" sounds really funny. Unless you are a Rolex collector with some personal attachment to the brand.

I remember the Motochron watches were fairly popular at least in Germany (early-mid Nineties) when I worked there at a Porsche dealership. Motochron uses ETA automatic and Swiss quartz movements, I think they're decent quality pieces for the price. They used to retail at 200-300 Deutsche Mark at the time, which probably was around $150 back then.

If the group buy pans out I'm in for a 993 odo watch.

100 is a ridiculously high number for a group buy; it'll take a very, very long time before 100 people commit, if ever.

If you really want this watch, it'd be easier, and much much faster, to just go out and buy it yourself.

Just as a data point, the last one I saw for sale didn't sell when priced at $275. Also, you need to be a RL member to hawk your stuff here.

Just heard of this from the above member. I'm in for 1, if it can be ordered before the end of time. Hehe...
