Given it another 10 years and the value should increase and make the storage/non-use worthwhile.
Assume original purchase price = $75,000 (optimistic as with sales tax it was likely more)
Assume no storage/insurance/basic maintenance costs (also ridiculously optimistic)
Assume sell after 25 years for $100,000 (and no tax on gain - which in real world today = 20%)
Actual annualized return? Slightly less than 1.2% Factor in inflation, taxes, storage costs and this deal was a loser for the OP. Buying relatively high volume production cars as investments just doesn't work IMHO. Drive it!

Nice but weird. Would like to have it, but would want to drive it......... so shouldn't have it.
Based on the recent trend in sport seat prices, those are worth about $25,000.

If i had unlimited cash, it'd be nice to have a essentially new 993. That said, the second you start driving it, you are literally lopping thousands off with every 1000 miles.
Not to mention I can't imagine all the dry rotted stuff on that thing.

dumb dumb dumb and sad.
A terrible "investment", and the damn thing has an oil leak.
Did you notice the bit of wear, lines on the leather from being compressed while driver enters and exits, on the driver's seat (not the upright bolster, but on the bottom on the door side). Someone has enjoyed (only) sitting in it or probably letting friends sit in his pristine "investment" automobile. ....Sad.

Yeah, I know some one who did that with an anversery Corvette, would not let dealer PDI the car so it was still in factory plastic and was trailered from the dealer.
Not sure exactly what happened to the car but the guy fled the country because the feds were after him for stealing titles.
