engine shake following startup

Hi there,
I will try a sniffer at the weekend, and see whats happening. Quite a few people have suggested the MAF meter, so I have purchased one, which hopefully will be here for the weekend to add to the fun! Providing its not raining or snowing, looks like I'm going to be busy!
Will keep you posted on the result.
However something weird happened tonight, it took three attempts to start the car, and then it didnt do the hunting for idle stuff. Added to all this, the car is going really well.
Do cars do things just to see if they can wind you up?
