Aventurine green
Was aventurine green offered for all the 993 model years? They seem so few and far between that I was wondering if it was offered in just certain years. I always get nice comments on my '95 and wondered why so few out there. I know green is not a real popular color but this really isn't much of a green, really a gray-green depending on the light outside. Anyone have any production numbers on how many in this color?

By the way, thanks for posting that color chart cmat. I guess there are no color production numbers available or someone would have chimed in.

IIRC... I'd ordered my 1998 coupe in late May, 1997 and swear to this day to have had the ability to know each and every option, both by discription and designation. Drove myself and wife nuts! "Ok, ok...order the Freak'in Porsche already!!" ~ Ingrid Schneider, May 1997.
The available paint scheme's , IIRC, were the basics, Red, White, Black, Yellow, etc., then the tier one optional paints such as my Arctic silver, Arena Red, Black Metallic, etc and then the tier two paint options of which there were a few, Aventurine Green Metallic being one. After that it was paint-to-sample. I'm not accerting gospel - but I do recall the 993s paint possiblities this way. I'm just saying.....

There was a Aventurine Green metallic MY96 993 coupe on the Warner Bros lot around the time of the Seinfeld show taping, though it wasn't Jerry's car,,, or one of the many J. S. Porsche cars.
Anyway this Aventurine Green 993 had black full leather with deviated sliver stitching, that and HB sport seats... NICE. understated.

The cost for 993 series tier one paint option was $750.00 and tier two optional paint was $3150.00, which Aventurine Green was.
I'm almost certain... having ordered optional metallic paint, tier one at $750.00 <Arctic silver>
Someone will chime in with chapter and verse... but I'm not far off.
