The Aventurine Green metallic 993C4S in post #2 is the real deal. Maybe someone will open the reference books on this one.
I recall Porsche switching btw Arctic silver metallic and Polar silver metallic during years '96 and '97 I think. The two colors took turns in the tier one paint option position. Example, an old buddy has a MY97 993tt in Polar silver metallic which was tier one optional cost paint. in '98 Polar became a $3150. tier two cost optional paint. Go figure.

That's a lot of green for Greyish green. When I bought my aventurine 993 I was take it or leave it with regards to the color but it has really grown on me, it is subtle but interesting, different but not too flashy. Bill W should swap me his gulf blue rs so he can experience it

My window sticker indicates $1,036 for the metallic paint. I have cashmere (tan) interior.
This is my aventurine green at an Atlanta car show in '09.

I went for a visit today to see mine at the shop, it looks great on a sunny day.

Aventurine is, for my money, the most elegant color for the 993. It was my first choice but I ended up with slate grey. If you have not seen the Aventurine green with the burgandy interior - it is really something. Not for everyone I understand, but so unique - so beautiful.

My jaw drops when on the rare, make that uber rare, occasions Aventurine Green metallic is viewed on a 993. Can’t say I’ve ever seen a burgundy/Aventurine Green coupe in the flesh… When spoken from a time capsule, make my Aventurine metallic with full black leather interior and then some….and have Zuffenhausen scary up a set of 18” Cup II wheels. That combo could it exist in a 993 wide body is art.

Just to pile on, I like mine too. I was unsure when I saw it first under fluorescent lights, but it transformed when it went out into the daylight. That's the best thing about it - how it has such different personalities in different lights. Also interesting - when my body shop guy mixed me some paint, it has no green in it.
