Let's find me a shell for the GT2 project
Title says it all............ Appreciate any/all help. Of course, West Coast is best. Only really need the shell and the rear subframe. Would consider a cheap car to part out.
(We can pass on suggestions of the wrecking yards. I know where all of them are; I tend to clash with their attitude.)

Obviously a coupe. Prefer undamaged. Title status likely unimportant, as is year.
Wouldn't take apart my street car. No need to start with anything than a basic RWD narrowbody. Unless you wanted the hydraulic assist brakes of an AWD model. Which, I've been advised by someone here we hold in the HIGHEST regard isn't desirable. I've got both versions on my two; doesn't really matter.
Thanks. Of course all this kind of stuff is across the country. Somehow I doubt the auction will hit reserve, but I'll watch it.
On the cheap, if I were doing it myself. But this would be partnered, and probably end up making the effort to make it a worthy clone/replica/tribute.
Thanks for all the interest! More of a concern right now is if I'll survive my winter of learning snowboarding. Got beat up pretty bad today; going to revert back to the trusty skis tomorrow!

Its the first 2-3 days that suck on a snowboard. Then it starts to get better. Learn to roll out of the fall...tuck the head and roll on a forward fall. Falling backwards, avoid the pancake splat move....try to roll backwards by throwing your feet w/ board over your head and roll out backwards. Takes some practice, but good thing is you won't be lacking for falls to practice on anytime soon! Oh, and don't fall and try to catch with your open hand....that's where all the snowboard injuries come from (broken wrist). I try to ball up my fists and land on the fist or on the bottom of my fist.

These guys had a 993 shell at one point, but it never showed up on their website.... Talk to Sean (he's a local PCAer, 944 guy but don't hold it against him.. )

After typing all that, I begin to remember it probably had front end damage, so might not be what you're looking for...
(no affiliation, etc)
Anyone else notice the hardback sport seats??? Looked like sad condition, but could just be dust from storage. Oh, and they were blue.

Good luck Ken.
Customer takes a nice car in for conversion, and subsequently runs out of money after the shop strips it apart and leaving it in an un-organised pile of junk. Should have taken a step at a time.
I blame the shop. Sad.

I only had one heel pick Thursday, but it was a goodie. Helmet beyond recommended! (But my "injury" was a pulled stomach muscle, that I'm surprised didn't affect me today.) What's going on is that Sugar Bowl includes free basic rental and group lessons on (basically) weekdays. Why not try boarding???
So a day like yesterday, they had a group reservation for 50.....and 8 show up. Overstaffed on the instructors, big time. So a kid I've been working with got to give me a one-on-one all day. We got a little over where I should be at about Day 5, but it was mostly because I got tired and the 48 year old body didn't react fast enough. Other than that, I'm not falling at all now. Amazing how it's helped my skiing, like today. Then I got really ballsy and spent the afternoon in the terrain park. Sore knees tonight........

(The GT2 project may be hijacked by re-entering the 910/907 business with my cousin. Seems after I clued him into that sale of $1M+ 910 I posted about in the other thread last night, he tells me he's gotten 5 solid international inquires for rollers in the $250K+ range in the past 6 months. But he's got an actual senior management engineering job now. But if there's that much goofy money out there, why the hell not try to figure how to make it work? Especially when I'm not otherwise working..............)
