Default How's the market?

Our Audi A4 is coming off of lease in May and the little guy is 5 months old. Rather than another 3rd car, I'm toying with the idea of consolidating and buying a track capable sedan. (M3 if I can swing it)

Well maintained '97, 55k mile, track (HPDE) ready 993... it's not perfect but not a race car either. (I have the original parts and it could easily be put back to stock)

It seems most are searching for garage queens and I realize there is a very limited market for a tracked car, but I thought I would throw it out there and get the forum's thoughts.

I put my granddaughters in the back of my 993 at least twice/week. When the youngest was about 1 year old, I put a car seat back there. Now they can use the seats as is (they qualify as child seats in the State of Washington.

Why not keep the 993? Kids love riding back there.

Its the middle of winter, and the economy is still struggling.

in short, the market is a bit soft.

Hey Ron. Long time no see. What year was the A4 and how did it treat you?

Im not familiar enough with the market to give you a price estimate... But I might be interested in the car once my M5 sells. If I had to give a price range, i'd say 22-24k.

It is worth a lot more than $22K.

The second part of your quote validates the first part; plus there are no details posted of this car to even suggest a figure.

That would certainly be a possibility if I took it back to stock. (currently has no rear seats, DAS bar, harnesses, etc.)

I guess I was asking in more of a general sense, not taking in to account seasonality.

Hey Ryan. 2008 A4 Quattro S-line. It has needed nothing more than scheduled maintenance. Shoot me an email if you'd like more info.

Indeed they do. My two daughters love riding in the back seats. They love the engine sound right next to them

I don't think most are looking for garage queens. I wasn't; just reasonable miles and in good condition with records. I would not have looked at a 993 set up for DE.

Any further thoughts on this?

I'm not actively looking to sell, but it does kind of bother me that it's not getting the use it deserves... 3k last year and about 300 miles so far this year... I had it gone through end-to-end in March and haven't had much time to drive it since.

When our first kid was born my 993 saw very little use that year. Now that we have two kids who can ride forward, and we only have two cars it see a lot of use with and without kids. I say put the back seats in, do the LATCH upgrade and keep it.

I think you'll get most money if put back as close to stock as possible. If the suspension is "done", which it looks to be, I'd leave that. If the car is in good condition, I see no reason for upper 20s or even low 30s given the car's 55K miles. Also, 6-speed NB coupes in white (GP or Glacier) don't exactly grow on trees.

Post some pics of exterior, interior, and any "bad" areas (if any). You might be surprised at the responses you get.

Default ps2 or ps3?

Which tire would you replace with-either ps2's or ps3's-my pilot sports are almost done. Also why you would pick either!!!!! I love my pilot sports but they no longer make them!
