Leaving Carlsbad Caverns NM yesterday & my GPS sent me down a local road heading towards San Antonio. The road was one step better than a cattle trail. To make a long story short, I hit a rut and may have have affected my alignment. The car seems to be pulling to the right as it tracked perfectly down I10 earlier in the day.
I will be traveling through Texas over the next four days hitting San Antonio, Austin & Houston. Can anyone recommend a shop in the Houston area or in between that can take a look.
Cheers,
Chip

Chip,
I've forwarded the URL for your post to Adrienne (Austin area) and Howdy993 (same) and nota_troll (Houston).
Hopefully one will contact you. Please keep us updated.

Yes, Mike Callas in Sealy is the best for Porsche alignment. I've had both my 911s (993 and 911SC aligned there over the past year and he did a great job both times. The cars track like they are on rails.

Sorry I did not see this until now (I was on vacation). Sounds like you are in good hands. If you need another recommendatoin, I would suggest Moorespeed or TPWS here in Austin.

Hey Guys,
Many thanks for your advice & suggestions.
Chalk this one up to a new owner & heavily crowned Texas roads. The car is running true.
Funniest part was my wife's comment regarding the reliability of the car as I'm cussin' down the road.
I knew I could count on y'all.
Thanks,
Chip

"why don't you have heated seats, this is a Porsche !"
(my answer, 'that would have been an option at order time'
carries no weight)
"why do I smell oil?" (my answer 'smells like, VICTORY' carries no weight, nor does my explanation 'it's air and oil cooled and there 10 quarts of oil running around from front to back from engine to cooler')
"why do you take to the shop so much?" (my answer '3 of 4 trips its taken to the shop are for modifications I have chosen' carries no weight, and causes the subsequent question "why do you have to modify anything, it's a Porsche" followed by my question 'why did you change that lamp in your entryway? it looked fine to me' begets the 'look of death'........
996 wheel or handbrake handle or Xpipes or gutted mufflers or strut braces or RS wheels or PSS10s...... those things could NEVER be understood by a frugal Honda owner, they could NEVER 'get' the Porsche thing)
