Default Saturday swap, shop & tech in Morristown, NJ

Any RLer's heading over tomorrow (Saturday, 1/22/11) to the Shade Tree Garage in Morristown, NJ. for their annual inside "swap meet" from 10-2. I've never been and not expecting much good stuff; rather an excuse to hang out and chat. Perhaps the tech session will be informative. I'll probably make it.

Listed in the past few editions of the monthly NNJR magazine. Shade Tree Garage clears out their shop and offers at no cost an area to display ones Porsche related wares. As per the article, they are adding the tech seminar as well. That's all I know. I'm near the GWB so if anyone from the city, Rockland, Westchester or Greenwich county, wants to meet, the Starbucks at Linwood Plaza in Fort Lee is an easy off, easy on spot right after crossing the GWB. 9:00 would work as it's about 50 minutes to Shade Tree Garage and the event starts at 10:00

I'll be spending some quality time with my son tomorrow morning. If he goes down for his nap early I may be able to stop by but it's unlikely.

The swap meet was more like "cars and coffee" with a few spare parts thrown in. Good to get out though. There was a mint condition 996 GT3 "thicker version" steering wheel/airbag available for $500 which is a very good price. Too bad I just paid $600 for mine last month!

He told me he was planning to list it on ebay if it did not sell on Saturday. I left at 12:00 so I'm not sure if it sold, although I doubt it. I suggested to the seller that he list it on Rennlist but I believe he was leaning towards ebay. It was "as new." I hope you can track it down.

I was there also - with a friend. He was trying to sell 2 sets of wheels , had a few people look at the Fikse wheels but no buyers. I picked up a Rennline floor board for a really nice price

I was there too but found it disappointing.

I did bump into Jay (Deadhead1960) and enjoyed meeting up.
