Default Another Ferrari split in half on PCH

Reminds me of the story from 2(?) years ago when the Swedish(?) guy destroyed another F-car in Malibu which was not legally his.
http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lano...ar-in-two.html

Conclusion- assuming this was "daddy's car," no one drives a Ferrari quite as carefully as the legal owner.

I think this wreck actually happened a year ago.

This article from January 2010 lists the same names. Not sure if he finally got charged or if this is just one of those internet things where an old article reappears with a current date.

Here is the ferrarichat discussion from a year ago

Yep, this happened right in front of the Newport Beach Porsche dealer. The skid marks were visible for almost all of last year. Having driven that section of road 1000s of times I can only speculate that they were going well over 100mph or given where the skid marks started, hit the curb on the right hand side of the road. Either way, it is a sad story and proof that even the best driver aids can't save poor driving.

This is more evidence that Ferraris should be banned, or at least have the horsepower regulated in some way by a government official

With that logic, same should apply to Prosches, alcohol, tobacco, fast food, swimming pools, guns, and anything else that not used responsibly can kill. Of course if you're being sarcastic, then disreguard...

It's not Ferrari's fault. It's the fault of the irresponsible owner of the car. That being said horsepower numbers these days are absolutely staggering, which makes it more important than ever for parents to teach their kids to respect what they are driving. Personally I think manfuacturers of Sports Cars should be more pro-active in safety training and offer free or heavily discounted driving courses when purchasing a performance vehicle.

Smoking related deaths equate to roughly 440,000 people each year in the US. Before Ferrari's are banned, smoking should be banned.

Useless fact: You are more likely to be killed attending a political function or church then being killed in a Ferrari.

The first investment any driver should make is in her/himself. It is the one investment that stays with you through all "equipment" upgrades and it will most likely save your life more than once. 100 additional horsepower is not nearly as important to the driving experience as the ability to understand car dynamics, weight transfer, contact patch and emergency braking.

Just yesterday three people were killed in an accident that involved 10 vehicles less than a mile from this Ferrari accident scene.
http://www.ocregister.com/news/crash...-involved.html

In this case the female driver was estimated to be traveling "about 100 mph" by witnesses. She was driving a Ford Taurus. So you can see, it's not the car that kills, it's the driver behind the wheel!

Proof that some people should not own nice machinery, no matter how much money they have.

If u want to ban something y dont u all get some one to get rid of all the bad drivers out there .in so cal people realey need to lose there licence when they mess up . it is not ok for people to risk everyone so that stupid people can have the right to drive ... Seriously , I see it every day.
