I'm assuming its not normal, but I hear a electrical Click click noise from the distributor area. Signs of bad wires and distributor cap?

I had this sound, I placed it more as an electrical arcing sound from the distributor area.
I pulled each dis coil wire to narrow the search.
after finding the correct dist cap, I pulled each plug wire until the ticking stopped.
turned out the plug wire on the upper plug at cylinder #4 was loose.
I'm guessing when I had the injectors cleaned I loosened the wire.
anyway, easy process to trouble shoot and get out of the way before turning to the above suggestions.

As above, if you've ID'd it as electrical sparking noise look around the distributors. Should be pretty easy to locate; lots of minor issues with wires and caps on high-mileage 964s when I still used to work on them (993s weren't out yet).

Have you started the car at night or in a darkened area and looked at the engine bay or underneath the motor? You might be able to see any arcing from a bad or frayed wire, this may lead you to the cause of the sound that you are describing.
