I have a wood **** but I'm not sure of the condition. You would have to find or modify a boot. Let me know if you are interested.

Thanks for the reply. I'm gonna look for the ****/boot combo for now, but may get a hold of you if I can't find one.

Why would you look for a combo of **** and boot? They are completely separate items, very much unlike the regular leather or aluminum boot/**** combos.

BTW, I probably have a marble grey boot from my first car. It needs very thorough cleaning if not re-dying. Marble grey, as you probably already know, gets pretty dirty pretty fast.

Aren't they sold together as one part? Even if not I'd still need a MG boot. Looking for a new or like new one, but thanks.

I bought the shfiter and the hand brake, dark rootwood from gert Carnwel from Belgium. He can get most unique items and his service is excellent and fast. His Email is info@carnewal.com <info@carnewal.com>

They are not sold together. Two separate parts. Unlikne non-rotwood shifters, which are single part.

Rdelvalle: I came across your pics when I was searching earlier today--very nice--convinced me to get the ****. I sent Gert an email. Thanks,

I think you could cut down a stock boot to accept the rootwood shift **** but I've never done it. I haven't looked at these pieces for awhile. However, I have the boot that goes with the rootwood shifter for reference (its red).

Hi Nek:

I was very satisfied with the shifter and the Hand brake. Gert was fast. I did the installation myself and it was fun. Since I bought the two items I bought the steering wheel from another rennlist member with the dark rootwood. I have not install the steering wheel yet. My interior is classic gray and the steering wheel seems to be a bit darker so I probably have to dye the leather.

Good luck. The leather shifter, hand brake and the steering wheels get stiky and dirty and they are hard to clean. I love the wood.

+1 on the rootwood (not rotwood by the way - lol). The shape of the shifter is just about perfect IMHO.

Default Replace the insert

Anyone know where to get an insert for the shifting pattern for the rootwood shifter? Leather or metal. Mine is shot. Thanks.
