Your exhaust sound
I'm looking to make a little more noise and was wondering if any locals in the DC/Baltimore area can spare me maybe 5 minutes to listen to your exhaust before I pull the trigger on one. I've listened to about all of them online but would prefer to do it in person. As of now I'm between the RSR and Fister II. The III might be too much sound for me. Thanks in advance.

Fister Stage III's sound amazing. Your neighbors won't care just as long as you don't rev your engine in your garage like Tommy Chong revs his bike. There are a lot louder Corvette's and Pocket Rockets out there. Get your exhaust and be happy.

I believe my car came with the RSR modded mufflers. They're loud enough that I carry a set of foam ear plugs in the never-used ashtray of my car.
I'd gladly swap for stock mufflers in identical condition. My Porsche draws enough unwanted attention that I do not need to make noise.

After discussing it with Darin, I felt the II's were loud enough. More personal preference than anything else. If I want to hear more noise, I'll roll the window down. Don't think you can go wrong either way. If possible, listen to both in person and make a decision. Plus you don't want your neighbors spitting back at you.

I'm not planning on exchanging my stock mufflers, so its going to cost me an additional $350 on top of the II or III cost. Hence, I'm trying to get it just right. I'm a computer engineer and I overanalyze just about everything...

I was in the same boat as you. Flip flopped between going for the II's or III's. I really wanted to hear the III's in person as the clips I down-loaded just sounded a bit too raspy for my taste. I went with the II's.
Could I stand a little more cabin sound? yes. They sound perfect when standing behind the car though. Perfect P-car air cooled boxer tone IMO. Not too obnoxious but loud enough on the gas to let people know that something special is coming down the road. To enjoy the sound myself I just roll down the windows.
