I drove from Harrisburg PA to DC last night at 8pm in what was supposed to be 8" of snow ... instead there was nothin' ... and I was VERY pleased ... I've had many emails this morning from my vendors in NY (Westchester mostly) saying they were closed because of the storm.

Stay safe everyone!

This is from Bielefeld in northern Germany one week ago.

The Autobahn was a max 50 km/h affair (very frustrating!) and it took me more than 14 hours to cover the 800 km from Switzerland to get there... before getting stuck 100 meters from my friends' house :-)

I didn't know they used Minis as snow plows in Urrup? Must get good fuel economy compared to a big truck?

You guys are a bunch of Nancy boys. We got 10" on the mountain last night and it's still snowing. We received around 3-4" more this morning I think with no end in sight. It's white out conditions now as I ride the lift up the mountain with my son. The good thing is that most people around here stay off the roads on days like today (unlike the SUV/AWD w/all seasons driving knuckleheads in NJ that I grew up with - no offense) so driving home shouldn't be a problem.

Hope everyone fared much better than the owner of this Ford Explorer (or similar SUV) & the car in front of it, filmed yesterday in NYC's Brooklyn Heights area...

First impact ~0:15 seconds, parts clearly falling off the victim @ ~1:45.

[Warning re: all the videographer's "F" bombs / profanity ]

Simon-- It's great for C4/ C4S/ Turbo towing, when locals can't make it out of the big city for a proper ski run!

Cool vid. I have been there when the only people on the streets were cross country skiing. Very cool. Never seen a car pulling a skier before. Its all fun until you fall. My 993 Tow (light) bar would be perfect for this purpose!!!
