No Bentley 993 Repair Manual planned
I found the Bentley SC Repair Manual extremely helpful for many years to work on my SC: Brakes, suspension, clutch, rebuilding the 3.0 and building a SS 3.2 liter.
The Bentley has lots of good pix and clear info on how to trouble-shoot and DIY plus has the electrical diagrams.
So, I contacted Bentley in the hope that they might publish a Manual for the 993 but, sadly, no plans at all to do that.
The Streather 993 Companion has some info but it is simply not as good as the Bentleys and has no electrical diagrams. Yes, it has lots of pictures showing all kinds of modified 993's but is lacking detailed and clear info for DIY's similar to what the Bentley does, IMHO.
Any thoughts ?

I use the Factory manuals, it has a ton of information (sometimes a little hard to find) it has all the wiring diagrams which for me at the moment is very helpful as i am putting in an aftermarket ECU...

The factory manuals are great and readily available. Adrian's book is also very helpful.
I completely understand why it would make no business sense for Bentley to get involved in making their own. After all it's been 12 years since the last 993 rolled off the line and it's a relatively low production vehicle. Sales would be minimal.

Yes, I have both the Porsche Workshop Manual and Adrian's book but I miss the Bentley manual. I still use the '84 - '89 Bentley for some things on the 993 but as you can imagine it's nowhere close to an ideal solution.
Wayne (of Pelican Parts fame) has a couple of books that help a bit too.

Naive question:
Where to buy the Workshop Manual or CD ?
Search indicates download available but..................
I am on dial-up and downloading would take hours.

Pelican has it for $400. By far, it is the best thing!!! Contains everything including diagrams, torque values, diagnosis procedures.

While a Bentley would be nice to have, I've managed without it over the last 6+ years of 993 ownership. I've change suspension twice, done brakes, oil changes, changed seats, and dropped my engine and transmission to do a clutch change during this time among other things. I've found that most all information that I've ever needed is contained right here in the Rennlist 993 archives. I've had yet to justify getting the factory manuals either. Which, if you need, can be had through Sunset for $400.
