Thanks to user "Full Boost" I now have a nice set of white face gauges.
Does anyone have any tips of getting the bezel out without doing major damage to it ?
Also - any tips on getting the needles off ?
I share my experience with future generations who want to attempt this DIY.
Thoughts in hindsight:
This is by far the most stressful DIY I've done on the car.
If you are in USA - send the gauges to North Hollywood.
There is a good DIY on P-car like Jager said - I think the additional info I add here will compliment it and give others more confidence.
Happy holidays guys - merry xmas and happy new year.
P.S. +1 regarding N. Hollywood Speedometer's attention to detail:

Some more feedback - I've spend a session in the car today. It's definetly nice to see the white gauges when you jump in. And they do stand out when you look into the car. It'll probably ware off in a couple of weeks but it's definetly eye pleasing.
I'm still using the standard light bulbs and the light isn't disburst evenly. For example - on the odometer the light is very bright at the 2000 and 7000rpm positions. I think I need to change the bulbs now to get better illumination and to update the old style light.
Ah - the car is keeping me busy over xmas - which is good. Look what came in the post ...
