Pre-Purchase Inspection in Salt Lake City, UT
I am looking to buy a used 2009 Cayenne Turbo S to complement my 1996 993 C4S... who are the best mechanics/shops for a pre-purchase inspection in Salt Lake City UT? I may need more than one suggestion, since I need to get it done tomorrow morning (Friday morning) on very short notice. Thanks in advance for the help!

Hmmm. It may be tough to get an effective inspection on such short notice. I'd suggest RSR Motorsports on Layton. Layton is about 30 minutes from downtown SLC. RSR's number is 801 771 7062. In SLC Concourse Autowerks, 8013139106, may be able to get you in.

May want to check with Dave Strong Porsche or Ken Garff Porsche in Orem. Both are dealerships vs. the independants that hoggel mentioned. Concourse is a great option---I get all my work done there now.

I used Dave Strong's Porsche in SLC for a long distance PPI on my Boxster back in 2003. I dealt with Ken Shiozaki, in the Service department, and he was very helpful in walking me through the car over the phone. The actual PPI was pretty thin on information, however the car was pretty new at the time and low in mileage, so there wasn’t much to report. Being a dealer they were able to pull up all warrantee work that had be done on the car, and even went over the service records that their dealership had performed.
