nice writeup and photos. I have enjoyed the roads you mention and many of them are tailor-made for putting a big grin on a 993 driver's face. As others have pointed out, some portion of these roads can be done as half-day to full-day loops from the Bay Area, so if you feel like doing one of those, please post here.

A great one day trip........East on hiway 20 from Nevada City to hiway 80, then north on hiway 89 to Graeagle.Then west up to Lakes basin to hiway 49. South on 49 with another 40 miles of twisties back to Nevada City.
