Good luck with that vacation home. Me? Never again. I have more than I like to do to maintain our home. When we had two, it was one weekend here, then there and always behind the landscaping or plumbing or time to decommission or commission the plumbing.
Hope it works for you as well as the 993 seems to have, but for us, we'll rent and drive there in the 993.
Good luck with the new retreat! If it helps at all, you can come to Philly and clean my car anytime you want for as long as you like. I know; I'm all heart! You can thank me later
One door closes, and another one opens. It's time to move forward ...
Exactly, JPP!
I purchased this 1965 Mustang when I was 17 and kept it for 40 years. There was a lot of love in that car (literally) but, I realized that it was time to move forward in 2005 and sold it to a car collector in Denver. That open door led me a year later to my first 911, an 87 Carrera and then to the best of all the 95, 993! Keep knocking and eventually a door opens!
Jerry, Your Mustang and the 87 Carrera were stunning!! The 8" and 9" Fuchs were what I had on my Pazificblau SC, the color reformulated and renamed Marine Blau.
Somehow the pain gets overtaken quickly by the excitement of an opportunity as soon as it presents itself.
The new owner flew in yesterday from Chicago and really loved the car! He is a great guy and I have encouraged him to get invovled here on Rennlist. I will allow him to give his own introduction. The car is still in my warehouse but will be picked up by a transporter (covered, of course ) on Sunday. Thanks to each of you for your help along the way as I built her up to what she is today. Having a 911 was a dream of mine since I was a kid in junior high. I am very sad it is going. I have met a lot of great people on this forum and have established lasting friendships. Happy Holidays to all you!
