Angry Tiptronic kick down switch not working

Hi,

I have been having a problem recently with the kick down switch not working on my Tip. The box drops down with a sharp stab on the accelerator, but the kick down does not function as it should.

I have had the Porsche ODB Computer attached and the switch registers open or closed and there are no error codes recorded.

Does anybody have any ideas?

Regards,
Gabriel

Gabriel: Have you changed your "foot action" lately? I have had the same issue and it seems that sometimes it works correctly and not others.

Nope, foot action the same.

It's particularly irritation on the highway when you are already in 4th and the throttle quite well pressed and you want it to drop down, just won't seem to do it. It definitely used to work.

I wouldn't know if mine works or not, I have driven it in manual mode since the day I got it. My only gripe is that it does not automatically shift down to first when you come to a stop.

Alan, I hear you. It's only a mild irritation, I still use manual mode a lot.
