Default OT: 997 color choice

if you were to buy a 997 GT3 RS, which of the following colors would you prefer:

pearl white
riviera blue
flat black
flat white
flat blue
flat purple

(all the flat colors are factory lamborghini paint codes)

Of the choices given, I'd go for Riviera Blue. No decals, black wheels.

Not a fan of the "flat" paint options popular on exotics right now. I'm a simple man; amused by shiny objects.

car is regular black right now, I am going to go with one of the above colors..

I'm really leaning towards riviera blue or even flat purple, but am afraid the car would become unsellable..

Can't you do the flat colors using a vinyl wrap? Then you get the color you want and can take it off later if you're worried about selling.

the only problem is that vinyl wrap costs almost as much as a full respray..

That still seems to be a better choice for resale. I would imagine original paint would be worth it down the road.

I guess I should have told the whole story from the start.. car has to be painted in any case..

it started out as a 997.1 GT3, and it is being converting it into 997.2 GT3 RS race car, it will also have a carbon fiber roof with sunroof delete, roll cage, exhaust, sparco seats, etc etc..

IMHO, it absolutely matters; ask Evan Fullerton: https://rennlist.com/forums/993-foru...-race-car.html

well, it's not a track exclusive race car, I think there is a strong possibility that whoever ends up with it when I'm ready to sell will never take it to the track..

and even if it was a track only race car, color is still important..

I'm not suggesting that you don't wash it, because it'll look bad of course, but if you keep it clean white stands out on a track and looks very sharp.
