I Need To Lube My Tube!
My shift tube that is
My shifting is slow and I was wondering what everyone that has had the assembly apart is using on the metal tube? When I reassembled mine with the Weltmeister/Golden Rod I never added any more grease.

I have no idea what the factory recommendation is but I just used std wheel bearing grease. What was in there looked pretty ordinary too. Works fine.

Will do and thanks. After driving the R32 the 993 feels like an antique until the twisties!

When I re-did my shift linkage a few years back, I re-assembled with Phil Wood waterproof grease. It's a cycling product, has been around since the first cactus bloomed, and works great. You should be able to pick a tube up at the local
Amish Cyclery .
