I have always liked the look of the CTSV's. Since they first came out in???05 maybe.
The wagon version looks amazing too.
Probably never own, but me like!

The LSA will make 620bhp all day long and will do it for 200k miles without a topend rebuild.
I'd rather have a 620bhp 6.2L supercharged v8 than a 620bhp 2L flat 6.
You guess which one will last longer and have more torque down low.

American engines are able to produce enviable horsepower and do it for hundreds of thousands of miles cheap. The compaint I have had about American iron isn,t the power but rather the mushy ride and planned obsolecence interiors. Look at a 10 yr old Honda Civic .The interior still looks like new.
The CTS with or without the V8 is an impressive package and I would think it comparable to many models of BMW or Mercedes

If they are such great cars, why then did they need all that bailout money...oh wise one?
Furthermore, how often I spewed anything about American cars in the past? You're high on something.

Did I attack you personally? I think not! So please keep your personal attacks to yourself!!!!

The bailout money has nothing to do with it. GM sold more cars than anyone else for years. Their legacy costs and UAW extortion are separate matters entirely. Furthermore, the CTSV and cars like the Z06 are what I'm talking about, not their economy products. The corvette z06 makes a carrera/carrera S look silly on almost every track in the country.
You have mentioned several times how american cars are low tech and how it was the worst mistake for you to own one.
You seem to like complexity for complexity's sake.
I'll take a V8 that is small, light, strong, reliable, simple, and extremely powerful all day over the highly tuned race motor that makes the same power, half the torque, and needs a rebuild every 10k miles. The LSX line is one of the best series of engines ever made.
Hp/liter is the lamest argument in the world.
Lets see, what would I rather have, a 2L engine with 80hp/l or a 4 liter engine with 60 hp/liter? tough choice
