As a new owner I'll be taking my car in for service/repairs until my confidence and tool collection increase. I live in Sonoma and work in Napa. I've seen the inside of Alpina Car Care in Napa (spotless!). I only know of Silverstar Motors also in Napa and Tillman's Engineering in Santa Rosa. Does anyone in the area have any experience with these shops? Any recommendations? Any other shops out there I should use?

I used Alpina for some work on my 1969 912, 20 years ago. IIRC, the owner was Gabriel Pastrama, and the shop was spotless then. Excellent work.

I used Tillman's when I first moved to Windsor about 6 years ago. They are good but didn't want to do any aftermarket work. I found De Jung Motorsport in Cotati to be very good, plus Steve De Jung is a great guy, very knowledgable and will answer all your questions.

Thanks guys. Yep, Gabriel is still there. I haven't heard of De Jung, I'l check them out too.
