I know absolutely nada about mechanics of suspensions, etc. Just for my education, if wheels rub, what do you do? Add spacers?

Depends what they are rubbing on.

If they are rubbing on the struts (offset too high), yes, you'd add spacers. If they rub on the fender, you can roll fender lips (this is invasive and non-reversible cosmetic surgery, although not really seen from the outside).

I did some thinking. Since your rear wheels are 9.5", which is 0,5" or 12.5mm narrower than usual 10" rears, you are looking at 6mm extra space between the tire edge and the fender. It's as if you had a 60mm offset 18x10 in the rear. Which should be absolutely fine for our NB 993 bodies.

So... don't worry about any of this

When your talking about offset, is 45 closer or father away from the fender than 60?

Depending on whether offset is positive or negative... here's a decent picture: http://www.ausgamers.com/forums/moto...ad.php/2886408
