Default RS Steering Wheel or 996 3-spoke?

I've been toying with the idea of replacing the 996 3-spoke steering wheel in my car with the 993RS steering wheel in order to add an additional RS touch to my car. I only drive the car occasionally and don't mind losing the airbag. Can anyone familiar with both wheels tell me if they think this is an 'upgrade' or a move in the wrong direction? I have no direct experience with the RS wheel so I'd appreciate any feedback from those who do.

I call dibs on the discarded one, when time comes (if it is classic gray) lol!

I don't think the 996 steering wheel belongs in the 993, others will think otherwise.

I really like the looks of the 3 spoke personally and I do like having an airbag. Although I didn't drive mine as a DD, when I did, I was certainly more aggressive in driving. In addition, people tended to pull out in front of me more often than in other cars. I suppose it's because they assume I'll stop or move to avoid banging up the car.

I have the 340mm Atiwe, which I think is an awesome upgrade. I'm 6'1" and the OEM wheel would bump by legs when I tracked the car.

Very happy with 996 3-spoke. Not sure i'd give up the airbag in a daily driver without a full compliment of other safety gear.

I really like my 340 Atiwe wheel, but I like the 996 wheel as well. However, the RS wheel is great also.

Heck, anything is better than the stock 993 GM truck wheel.

996 GT3 thick spoke option wheel gets my vote. I happen to know of 1 for sale.

No.... Sorry, it's just my opinion - see the RS wheel below your posted picture. My RS has neither - came with 993 4-spoke with red stitching. Iwouldn't mind the old 3 spoke 964 RS steering wheel. Personally I would choose the RS steering wheel to the 996 version.

I have a NIB RS steering wheel. If you want to swing by the shop you can check it out. Hold it up in your car, see if you like it.
