I've just started learning about 993s, as I am looking to buy one.
I haven't seen the sunroof listed as an option, so I am wondering if they were all equipped with one, standard?
thanks

It's a shame that more cars didn't come over without sun roofs. I've never even opened mine & much prefer the smooth look of the cars without.
I do like the one in my 951 as it's huge, comes out completely & gives a nice airy feel.

There's a coupe 'without a sunroof' sat in the showroom at my local dealer (South West UK). No indication if its for sale or just for show. Other info is that it has 85k miles on the clock. Looks to be non varioram, L reg (so 1994?). The car has red calipers, also has white PDC sensors in the rear bumper (was that an option on a 993?).
Out of interest I noticed they also have in the showroom a very nice condition white LHD 356 badged up as a 'super 90' and a 993 RS for sale at 49,995 UKP and 89,995 UKP respectively, plus a white 964 speedster with no price against it.

Not sure if my car was a special order or not, but it lists the following options:
Standard Sunroof Deleted N/C
Torque Limited Slip with ABD N/C
Racing Style Sport Seat-Left 365.00
Racing Style Sport Seat-right 365.00
Does anyone know the weight savings of a sunroof delete?

With the exception of my 77 Bronco, which I pretty much only drive it when the top is off, I wont own a vehicle without a sunroof. Weather its hot or cold, its nice to crack open and get some fresh air and sun, which is a totally different experience with breeze compared to open the window(s)
