Default Got my baby back today from EPE today!

Got my baby back from EPE today!!! What a great ,clean shop. Jerry seemed very knowledgeable and honest. I had a bunch of stuff done, RS clutch with LWF, RS motor mounts, oil change, new belts, new sound pad installed, new throttle guide tube, new SAI check valve, new fuel filter, and a few other things that were deemed necessary. What a difference!! It feels like a new car. I don't notice any gear noise at idle at all with the clutch in or out. Maybe its cause I have stage III's The gear shifting is like butter. The LWF makes a huge difference, my car seems like it wants to spin out of its tires in 2nd gear with the pedal mashed. So all in all, great 1st experience with Jerry and the crew at EPE and will most definitely be getting more business from me. Anyone on the fence in the RI, Mass, CT area of where to get their P-car serviced I highly recommend the boys at EPE.

Congrats. I have only heard great things about Jerry and his shop.

Now time to wring it out this weekend and join up with Arrwin's drive:

I have done a few drives with this group and ALWAYS had a blast.

+1 on the work from EPE! I had a bunch of stuff done also (belts, brakes, oil, etc), including the RS clutch and LWF and PSS10s about 2 weeks ago. I think Bill did the work on my car. Besides doing great work, the shop was always clean and the guys were always very polite. Jerry even answered his phone on a Sunday! I thought I was just going to leave a voicemail, but he picked up...now that's service!

That drive does sound fun but unfortunately I will be working, but my next free day I definitely plan go for a long spirited drive it the weather cooperates. Hopefully a long drive is what is needed for the ECU to "relearn" the idle as I'm having a few stalling issues right now.

I had a bunch of stuff done all at once, so I'm not sure what the clutch and LWF came out to, I'd have to check the invoice which is in my car and I'm at work I can check it on Friday. I'll pm you details.

I also have the stalling issues, but my car is a '95 so I think its brain has learned what it can. I've been changing the way I drive to prevent the rapid decrease in rpms and thus the stall happening. I've read in other threads about checkiing the vaccum lines for leaks and possibly using an upgraded chip to help.

Yeah I would expect it on a 95 from what I've read here on Rennlist. Supposedly the 96+ shouldn't really have the stalling problem if they do they are very rare. I haven't really had mine out yet just a calm drive back from the shop. A few more cold starts and hopefully the brain will adapt successfully. If not I'll consider a chip.

Please post your results with the LWF let me know if your ECU quickly adapts or if it takes time to deal with any stalling issues. Good luck you will love the throttle feel especially 1st and 2nd gear.
