Default Vesuvius S - grey paint code help URGENT!!!

Hi All

Urgent expert help needed from you guys.....

I have a Vesuvius 993 Carrera S with the steel grey handles, mirrors, grills and matching 17" Cup 2s (the launch model used by the OPCs). I am having the 17" Cups and a new set of 18" twists refurbed at the moment (both sets stripped and ready for paint) BUT the guys doing it can't find the paint code.

Does anyone know the paint code for this specific grey colour???? NO guesses please as I've got two sets of wheels awaiting paint and I cannot afford to get it wrong!!!

My OPC is trying to contact Porsche directly after failing to find anything out!

Thanks all

TC (Ben)

Since it's your first post, welcome to Rennlist.

Though I cannot help you with your query, I can tell you that you'll get many responses to post pics of your Vesuvius 993 S.

The more pics you post, the more likely you are to get all the answers here you need

Good luck!

61W is indeed "Stahlgrau Met Matt" as stated above by Denis Steel Grey for the mirrors/doorhandle/grill. Type the code in here and click Start Search http://color-online.glasurit.com/

L40 is a VW Audi color called "Poplila"

40W is the correct "Vesuvio Metallic" color code

As stated in another thread, I gave you the code and mix ratios with glasurit and sikkens akzo noble.
if you want more info, you just needed to ask.
For your Porsche dealer, there are two instances where the color code is given in his PET and Vaudia system.
one is part number 943.426.275.06 - 61W
this is the tiptronic **** on the carrera S which with the handbrake lever, gauge surrounds, etc, are Stahlgrau
on the part number in the PET, it says color code Stahlgrau 61W
another instance is gauges surround on the Carrera S are stahlgrau
again in the PET there is the code 61W at the end of each Carrera S speedometer, counter etc.
the official name of the 61W code is P61W in your car. which is an S
I have bought this color mix and used it and it is spot on.
regards St. thomas

Thanks for posting my pic Tony!! (I don't have the capability as yet!) Pictured on Poole Quay on the south coast....note Tony's Choccy Lab in the background....possibly thinking about two things......weeing on my car or eating my car....maybe even making love to my car....simple things

Anyway - the reason for the paint is to refurb the standard 17s you see in the pic and because I've ordered a set of 18 turbo twists that I'm having painted the same colour (Steel Grey) all over.

Once these are done I'll post some pics of the finished car with the new wheels on! Roll on Friday......I hope......am very excited.

Thanks again for all the help, Ben
