Default Carrera S is sold

Bittersweet... commitment to buy received today and the car is being picked up next week and headed for the Midwest.

Thanks to all, especially Keith for his willingness to inspect, drive, and provide feedback to the buyer.

I will still be looming around Rennlist as a non-owner and I'm sure will rejoin the ranks somewhere down the road.

Cheers everybody!

Hi Jeff ... yep congrats on the sale - that was fast

Hope to see you behind a P-car again shortly!

It's only recently that I’ve become big a fan of Arena Red ... It’s a Marmite color and I LUV Marmite

All the best,
Mark

The pleasure was all mine, the Cougar truly is a special car, Jeff, and Terry before him, clearly took great care of this fine example. Even though it has twice the mileage of my car, it does not show it one bit. It was nice to experience a car with a LWF also.
At least the car is staying in the Rennlist family and going to another enthusiast.

Thanks for the compliments. I loved that car. Would still have it were it not for a left hip replacement 3 months ago. New "suspension" for me, doing very well. Hope the new owner checks in here from time to time. Jeff, see you back in the fold one day.

Same feeling as when our daughter left for grad school in Chicago, then Pennsylvania, then FL. Where we are headed next week to see our new grandson.

So like the Greek philosopher said, "You never step into the same river twice."

UGGGHHHH.... My heart goes out to you. One of my three grand kids lives 3 hours north of me and it bothers me. Across the country is a killer.

I like that saying.... I really like it. We travel a lot and try never to return to the same place twice. Too much to see and too little time!

Not to get all philosophical, but I _love_ going back to places that I've been to years prior.

Firstly, you see different things from what you've seen before (let's not kid ourselves, as Americans we don't have enough time or don't take enough time to see places we travel to in depth on a single visit). Secondly, and more importantly, I can measure myself and my own changes against the same place as the time went by, if that makes any sense. Maybe that's why I'm on my second 993, had 2 E30 cabs, 3 MR2s, etc.
