Default A little drift never hurt anyone...993 video

Here is a fun video of a 993 in action on a "closed course"...I guess this is what happens when you put together a few grown men still thinking they are boys, a video camera and rear tires that need replacing! Turn up the volume...loud...it's part of the charm

LOL...It's NOT a hoax...just more money than brains I guess...

The camera guy must be related to the driver as he is as clueless as him, walking right in front of a Corvette reving to 7K + RPMS. DUH!

So here is my question. Was the clutch shot or was it traction control? Why would the wheel break traction only to stop lurching forward a foot or so?

Since cgfen posted some cool shots from that photoshoot I'll add some of my favorites. "Niche" did the still camera work and got some awesome shots!

Nice! Cool shots of the cars, too.

Thanks for helping me lose an hour of my life watching all the videos on that site

Back to work I go.

Really Noah, this thread was hardly meant to start a semantic debate it was just for fun...sigh To my defense, I did say "a little".....

And, technically I think you are incorrect (and you thought someone wouldn't look this up!!!)

According to wiki...."drifting refers to a driving technique and to a motorsport where the driver intentionally over steers, causing loss of traction in the rear wheels through turns"

Alternatively, skidding is defined as..."to slide without rotating (as a wheel held from turning while a vehicle moves onward)."

If you slam on the brakes without ABS in the snow, that would be skidding IMO.

Now let's just enjoy the pictures/video!!!

Re: Corvette. I was thinking to myself, "O.K., step 1, he turns the Traction Control off, right?"

Result of more money than brains...
