Insurance companies love to place blame anywhere but with themselves. Federal law requires that seat belts meet certian standards. If you replaced your belts with ones that did not meet those standards and it was found to contribute to the injuries of you or your passenger, they could declare that you are responsible and it is not within the coverage of the policy. I haven't read my policy to see what it says about altering safety equipment.

I completed the install on the Boxster using the flame red ones. Below is a photo of the flame red on the right on the red on the left. The red is very close to OEM; the flame red is brighter.
