Default headlight switch light bulb

I read recently on this forum that there is a bulb for the headlight switch. Is this true? If so, mine is burnt out. How do you replace it?

Just carefully pry the cover off with a small flat screw driver and you will see the bulb.

BINGO!!! Very easy. Once the **** is pulled off the bulb can be removed by pulling it out with your fingers. Installation of the bulb is the reverse of the steps.

I keep a couple of spares in the trunk/boot along with the rubber wiper arm bumper, DME relay, and spare fan belts.

Another +1 for pulling the **** straight off ...

If one cannot get a grip on the bulb, push a small piece of tygon tubing/vacuum hose over it - and it pulls out easily.

OK, looked through the above attached thread and don't want to start this all over again. The reason I'm asking, I replaced my headlight switch cover and didn't look to see a bulb or even noticed one. That night while driving, I noticed that the switch didn't light up. I could'nt remember if it dd before or not. I looked over my PET manual and there is not a bulb listed for the headlight ****. Now I'm confused. In the above link, everyone was pretty adamant that there is a bulb and some even said they replaced it. That post was referring to the headlight **** bulb. Could the answers have been referring to the heated mirror **** bulb, fog light **** bulb or cigarette lighter bulb? All those have a bulb and it's very easy to replace. Are there some years that have a bulb in the headlight switch **** and some don't?

Umm, not the cigarette lighter. What I meant to type was rear window defroster ****. Back to the question, does anyone have a headlight switch **** that light's up?

Pull the round switch off and you will see the small light bulb inside, the bulbs can be purchased at any auto parts store. Easy fix!
