Default Window Tint Reviews

Hello!
The tint on my windows has seen better days. I also replaced my rear window so it's been naked for a while. Can you provide some feedback on window tint?

I did have Llumar on my last car but it discolored after about two years of FL sun. That may be inevitable but maybe one of you has had better luck.

I really don't want it very dark - more interested in heat rejection.

thanks in advance.

Even though we don't get really hot up here, my 911 has supremely poor AC. I got some of Llumar's ceramic tint. It's kinda spendy, but it does block a lot of the heat, especially from the rear greenhouse window.

Whatever you decide, don't go to Audio Itch (Dale Mabry and Cypress) for the install. I did and when I picked up my car, it had been driven 3.9 miles. When I asked the owner about it, and showed him the note paper where I had written down the mileage at drop-off, he said I was wrong and that there was no way the car had been driven...and don't get me started about what they did to my Jaguar Vanden Plas a few years back.

I went with BC40 tint by 3M™ Black Chrome Automotive. I looks awesome. Holds up well but is a little dark at night

I have 3M 35% all the way around. A little darker than I should have, but I like the consistency. The tint has performed very well on all my vehicles.

I did the 35% tint, I was mostly interested in heat rejection with a triple black car. It is light enough that I don't get hassled. My wife did the 50% on her car and got a ticket.

Wow, 50% and got a ticket. Wife has 35% on the front sides and 5% on the rear sides and back and no issues here. Gotta love Texas.

She said she wanted it dark on the inside and I made the decision to go with 5%. She said she likes it, but if I had it to do over I'd go with 15% since there doesn't seem to be that much difference between the heat blocking between the two.

Back the the original question, I've had good luck with both Llumar and 3M. The differences that have stood out are the shops where we've had the various vehicles done.

When I saw this thread, what immediately came to mind was Formula One tint.

In the past, there was always questions on this forum and others about which tint to go with between Llumar and Formula One with Formula One taking the edge.

Apparently, I see from their website, they're now one company.

On my 993, I went with Formula One pinnacle series.

I have 20 all around. ThE targa glass creates a lot of heat! The only issue is when the roof is open I can't see snot out the back at night.
