Default porsche shops in the LA area

Can someone recommend a good shop where I can have my top end rebuilt? I'm actually in the Central Coast of California, but I think there are good shops in the Los Angeles area. I would like to get some feedback from this community.

Thanks,
Derrick

200 N Motorworks on La Cienega.

Also Otto's (John) in Venice.

Then there's always Callas or Hergie's in the OC.

Have you checked with Schneider's Autohaus in Santa Barbara?

Take a look at Callas; http://www.callasrennsport.com/. If you do a search, there are a lot of opinions on the various machanics in LA. I recently had my Boxster worked on at Callas. I stayed there for a majority of the day and watch them work on the car. The garage is run very well with Tony Callas having constant oversight on everything. Good luck with your search....

+1 on "200 N. Motorworks". Great shop and best priced indie in Los Angeles.

I will again throw Art Arredondo of Arredondo Motorsports' name into the ring. He's located in the south bay, runs a tight ship, has very reasonable labor rates and is a really nice guy to boot! Give him a call @ 310-787-7001.

~thread hijack~

I just moved to the LA area from The Bay Area and am looking for recommendations for where to get parts from (I can't get mail where I'm at, so store pickup is preferred)

Thanks

If you can't get mail, you might be stuck going to a Porsche dealer, depending on what part you need.

The wrenches listed above are garages, not retail parts stores, to the best of my knowledge.

You can order from Pelican Parts and pick them up at their location. I believe they recently moved from El Segundo to Gardena.
