Default opinion wanted on suspension

got the body work done, have the 996 turbo twists on the car right now, but am trying to figure out why its sitting so high in the front. is this what stock suspension looks like? im looking at coilovers right now, but am wondering why its this high stock...ideas?

Too high to be stock set up. Kinda looks like the suspension is not settle. Did you just put the wheels on and not moved the entire car an inch after you set the tires back on the ground?

I think it is the shape of your flares doing this, combined with out having the fender liners in.

Full tank of gas, measure the bottom reference points.

Is the suspension settled in, or just off the jack stands?

That looks almost right (but a tad too high) for a stock suspension hight based on where the center of the wheel is when compared to the bottom of the door but because of the GT2 flares, it looks more messed up that it would with normal fenders. Did you just changed the tires and didn't drive it at all so the suspension hasn't settled yet?
We need some more details.

In any case, get it lowered to GT2 height (coil-overs definitely) and get some huge rubber in there, with those bigass GT2 flares, you need to have some serious meat (and power) in there.

Forget the spacers and get wheels that are right size (= wider). I'd suggest BBS.

Oh, I just noticed this is a cab with no rear wing etc... You got some work to do since those flares are practically un-reversible and with them, IMO the thing needs big wheels & tires and a wing.

yea i feel you on the BBS. im looking into some e88 bbs wheels. but im gonna keep it wing-less. IMO that will look alot better on a cab. flares, lowered on BBS, without a wing.

Good call

+1 on the many thoughts that it has not "settled". Roll the car back and forth a few feet and you will likely see it drop another inch or so. That will at least get it back to stock height - the next step of course would be to drop it lower!

Payam 972,
If you are interested I have a set of 18 X12 with 315 rears and 18 X9 with 235 front " Kenisis K18 with black centers and almost new Michelins PS2's. They came from a 996 GT2, which is the same offset as the tt 996 wheels you have now except wider. They should help you feel out the flares. I also have an original Twin turbo tail.
Thanks,
AL
